About LFK
What is LFK? Well what can we say...LFK stands for Lawrence Fu***** Kansas. We like it here! Local printer Leslie Kuluva introduced the acronym LFK to the world in 2001 to express how unique and fun Larryville can be!
Lawrence Kansas is certainly an enigma for the conservative midwest, the locals just don’t see what the big deal is. Sure, Lawrence is often on the cutting edge of arts, fashion, sports, literature and scientific advancements, but mostly we just think of Lawrence as a cool place to live.
Just look around, there’s always something to do and always fun people to do it with. Stroll down Mass Street downtown or anywhere in town for dozens of amazing restaurants and bars to quench your hunger and thirst. Go for a bike ride or a run with any of a number of active groups designed for health and social interaction. Like live music? No town is better for live music. From tiny bar stages to huge orchestral venues, you can always find bands to keep your feet tapping or performances to move your heart and soul.
Don’t take my word for it, jump on the internets for testimonials, photos and videos of proud Lawrence folks expressing their love for their hometown.
Friends of Art Frames
We've gotten to know so many great people and business owners since we opened in May 2000. I'll list a few friends sometime and hope some others chime in!
Fun Places to Visit
Although Lawrence is growing like crazy, there is no place like Downtown for any day fun or night life! Pop in and out of businesses downtown and see who you see. Shopping, dining, drinking and live music any night of the week. Check out some of your resources on KU campus for museums, sports and history. Take some time to explore Lawrence for great little restaurants, bars and shops throughout the city. Then pop in to your friendly little frame shop: ArtFrames and say hello!
